On 7 September 2008 Ross Sheridan, Assistant Manager at Crown Reach (a block of flats on the Thames) received a call that no parent could imagine or should receive, Karen Louise (pictured right) his 26 year old daughter had been found dead in her apartment.

Karen was 10 when she suffered her first epileptic seizure and it was shortly after that that she was diagnosed with
Grand Mal epilepsy.

Like most parents who find themselves in this position he searched for things that he should have done but never got round to doing. At the back page of one of Karen’s diaries was a Wish List. One of the wishes was for a Seizure Alert Dog. It was then that Ross began to write the play ’Karen’s Wishes’.

With the support of the residents of Crown Reach, the help of a professional scriptwriter, a leading West End director and a producer, a Charity Evening, with a short introductory talk from ROLF HARRIS, will take place on Monday 1 November 2010.

The evening's entertainment is as follows:

7.00 pm Reception
At the Fleming Gallery, 13 Berkeley Street, London W1J 8DU with a private viewing of a major exhibition of works of the Glasgow Boys.

8.00 pm Charity Performance of Karen’s Wishes
At The Mayfair Theatre, Stratton Street, London W1J 8LT (just across the road from the Gallery) performed by Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts, produced by Sean Sweeney and directed by Bruce Guthrie.

9.00 pm Musical Performance
At the Fleming Gallery from the Guildford School of Acting

A donation of £100 will provide you with a ticket to attend the Charity Evening. However, tickets are strictly limited in number and whilst we would naturally love you to come, in the event that you cannot or that the tickets have already been sold please make a donation. No amount is too small!
