To assist the
Training Department in the following area’s;
Evaluation and
interview of prospective foster carers.
Home assessment
of prospective foster carer.
Placement and
regular monitoring of dog in foster care.
Selection and
assessment of potential Assistance Dogs.
Structured
training for selected dogs.
Compiling
written training reports.
Training the
dogs relevant obedience commands, social skills and task work.
Specialised one
to one training of dogs in the programme.
Follow up
training as requested.
Maintain and
monitor health and welfare of dogs in training.
Responding to
general training, behavioural and basic medical enquires from foster
carers and giving advice where appropriate.
Assisting the
day to day administration of the Training Department.
Attending
specific events which will involve flexible working hours e.g.
evenings and weekends.
To share on call
duties as required.
Any other duty
as required by the Management Committee.
