Support Dogs
relies on its dedicated volunteers who give up their time to help us in
many different ways. Our volunteers
make a vital contribution to our success.
Volunteering can give you the opportunity to change lives, including your
own! If you would like to support us, but cannot afford to donate money,
you can donate your time instead. It can be fun as well as rewarding!
Whatever your skills or whatever you enjoy doing,
even a few hours of your time can make a huge difference.
Here are a few of the ways you may be able to
help:

Dog Foster Carers
We always need people to
provide both long and short term care for our dogs in training however you
must live near our National Training Centre in Sheffield to become a
Foster Carer.

Puppy Socialisers
We need people who are
available during the day time to provide care for our youngest recruits
however you need to live within the South Yorkshire area nearby Sheffield
to become a Puppy Socialiser.

Fundraisers
Without our fundraisers we would be unable
to continue our work and transform the lives of disabled people across the
UK. Whether you help to man stalls at events or store collections or
distribute collection boxes, every hour you can help us makes a real
difference.

Speakers
Being a speaker does require some
commitment from yourself, but this work is invaluable to Support Dogs in
raising both awareness of our work and much needed funds.

Administrators/IT
Support/Professional Services
We always need people with
administrative and computer skills who can help with the everyday
challenges of running the charity from manning the telephones to helping
with mailings, from filing documents to pricing merchandise.
We also welcome support from people in the professional services such as
graphic design and accountancy who can lend their expertise to help us
improve systems and procedures as the charity continues to grow and expand
to meet the ever increasing demand for its services.
